Position Overview:

Abiglobal Foods Wholesale Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Stock Controller/Administrator to join our team. The Inventory/Stock Controller will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and optimising stock rotation to minimise waste and maximise profitability. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Monitor stock levels and generate purchase orders to replenish inventory as needed, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to verify accuracy of inventory records and identify discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to schedule deliveries and manage stock levels effectively.
  • Implement and maintain efficient stock rotation practices to minimise waste and ensure product freshness.
  • Work closely with the sales team to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock availability to meet customer needs.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock items and propose strategies for clearance or liquidation.
  • Utilise inventory management software to track stock movements, generate reports, and analyse trends.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, to streamline processes and optimise inventory management procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the handling and storage of stock items.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably in the food wholesale industry.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is a plus.
