We are looking to employ two caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Personal Assistants (PAs) to support our lovely 7-year-old daughter who has additional needs. The role is to start as soon as possible.
Our daughter is a fun, sociable, and caring child who loves animals, spending time outdoors, visiting parks, and getting creative with crafts and activities. She has diagnoses of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) with a strong PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile and ADHD, so she benefits from gentle guidance, patience, and 2:1 support to help her with her social and emotional skills.
Role Details
Hours: 5 hours every Saturday (with occasional flexibility to work on a Sunday instead).
Pay: £15 per hour.
Location: Midsomer Norton.
Start date: ASAP.
What the Role Involves
Providing 2:1 support during activities and outings.
Taking her to BAPP (Bath Area Play Project) in Twerton every other week.
On alternate weeks, supporting her with fun social activities such as swimming, soft play, parks, or crafts and games at home.
Encouraging social interaction and helping her build confidence in the community.
Always ensuring her safety and wellbeing.
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
Kind, patient, and energetic, with a genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs.
Drivers own car and business insurance – (mileage paid at 45p per mile).
Reliable and trustworthy, able to work consistently on Saturdays.
Ideally have an Enhanced DBS check (or willing to complete one before starting – cost covered).
Previous experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or similar needs would be helpful, but a caring attitude and willingness to learn are most important.
Additional Information
There is a small miniature dachshund in the home.
Applicants who smoke but not around the child will be considered.
Our daughter enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, crafts, gardening, and animals – you’ll fit right in if you share these interests!
How to Apply
If you’re friendly, proactive, and would love to make a difference to a child’s life, we’d love to hear from you!

The position is paid at £12.82 per hour, plus mileage and will be paid through the PAYE scheme. This is not a cash position.
