We are seeking a reliable and skilled Wagon Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting bulk Dairy Liquids safely and efficiently all over the UK, ROI, NI & EU, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, the ability to manage routes effectively & a keen eye regarding cleanliness and food safety. Working a rolling shift of 4/4, 6/2 or 5/3 tramping.

Responsibilities

  • Drive wagons to deliver goods to various locations as per the scheduled routes.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to all legal requirements regarding transport regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with the planners regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
  • Ensure that all cargo is loaded and sealed properly before departure and during transit.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients whilst adhering to site rules.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience as a wagon driver or in commercial driving preferred, particularly with tankers, but training will be given.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in logistics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
