- £24,507 - £25,535 FTE - SAT B
- £22,258 - £23,192 Pro Rata
- 37 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 SDD + 10 days in the holidays (41 weeks)

We have an opportunity for a Science Technician to join our team at Westlands School.
As a Science Technician you will work with the teachers to provide support to staff and students, setting up resources and equipment for lessons and supporting structured and practical activities. You will be ensuring the safe treatment and disposal of used materials including hazardous substances, undertaking maintenance and cleaning of equipment and ordering and maintaining sufficient supplies of materials.
The successful candidate will need:
- Knowledge of appropriate use of relevant equipment (including handling hazardous substances safely) and ability to communicate this knowledge to staff and students.
- Thorough understanding of Health and Safety procedures especially as they relate to work in the specific environment (e.g. Laboratory).
- The ability to use basic technology (computer, video/DVD, photocopier etc.)
- Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities and confidentiality.
