About the job:

We are looking for an early years educator to teach and care for children from 12 mths to 5. To be able to provide high quality teaching and learning, to assess the needs of the children and in partnership plan for their Intended learning.

Duties include:

  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for children
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.)to teach children
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact with each other
  • Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
  • Track children’s progress and work in partnership with parents
  • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and understand age and stages of development
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Experience in an early childhood setting preferred
  • Good understanding of the principles of child development and child psychology
  • Familiarity with safety, hygiene for learning environment
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £22,300.00 per year
