As a Technology Business Consultant, you’ll contribute to a critical component of our success. While working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver innovative, new solutions that meet their needs and help advance the way the world pays, banks and invests.


About the team

FIS is a Fortune 500 company, a global leader in the fintech sector and the largest processing and payments company in the world. Our innovative IT solutions help to transform our clients’ payment and treasury business landscape.

You will join a rapid-growing Professional Services team consisting of 50+ consultants dispersed around the globe, mostly located in Europe, US and India. The team manages around 100+ client projects yearly, from small consultancy to large first implementation, upgrades and global rollouts.

What you will be doing

With expertise in Security Lending & Collateral management business processes and a combination of functional and technical background, you will provide guidance to client concerning business implications of applications of various systems.

  • Works individually or within a team on technology business consulting projects to meet specific client requirements and industry requirements.

  • Expertly researches and documents client needs

  • Defines specifications and data models for product implementation and deployment.

  • Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness and acceptance tests. Conducts tests using client data to be certain client needs will be met.

  • Influences clients, business partners and service providers regarding priorities and may travel to client site.

  • Acts as team leader for functional aspects of consulting projects leading sub-plans or small projects. May mentor, guide, advise and/or check work of less experienced business systems analysts and technology business consultants.

  • May play a key role in training client and support personnel on enhancements, new systems or procedures. Training may be delivered one-on-one as knowledge transfer or in a classroom setting depending on number in audience and client preference.

  • May serve as pre-sales support specialist when needed.

What you bring:

  • In-depth knowledge of financial services industry, with a particular focus on Security Lending, Repo and Collateral Management domains

  • Knowledge of application architecture

  • Proficiency in business modelling and requirements definition disciplines through Unified Modelling Language (UML), use cases, etc.

  • Proficiency in at least one appropriate application programming language

  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills

  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take

  • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or tasks and ensure the project is successfully completed

  • Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas

Added bonus if you have:

  • Previous experience with FIS G1/SFTC/Apex Collateral

  • Tech know-how (database, java, data analysis, reporting, IDP, cloud deployment)
