We pride ourselves on high-quality installations and a dedicated UK helpdesk, bringing technical skill and attention to detail to every project we undertake.

As we grow our security and access control division, we're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team.

The Role

This is a nationwide field-based position covering both installation and service/maintenance work. You'll be responsible for installing, commissioning, fault-finding and maintaining access control and security systems at customer sites across the UK. The role combines hands-on engineering with the customer-facing professionalism our clients expect.

A company van and laptop will be provided to carry out your duties.

It Is imperative that the applicant has experience within this sector. Applicants looking to move industries need not apply. The applicant must be in a ready state to take on their field based duties immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and commission access control systems
  • Carry out planned maintenance, service visits and reactive fault-finding
  • Configure networked devices and integrate systems onto customer networks
  • Complete structured cabling and containment work where required
  • Install and service CCTV systems
  • Maintain accurate job records and provide a high standard of customer service on site

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an access control installer
  • Good working knowledge of computer networking (IP addressing, switches, basic network configuration)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and travel nationwide

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Paxton systems
  • Hands-on experience with general access control systems
  • Hands-on experience with Intercom systems
  • Experience in structured cabling
  • CCTV installation and servicing experience
