Temporary Part Time Medical Receptionist/Clerical Assistant

30 Hours Contract

January 2026-March 2026

£24,889 - £27,543 Pro-rata (£12.90 - £14.27 per hour)


We are looking for the right individual to provide extra support to our reception team for the next few months. We want to hear from you, if you:

  • Enjoy dealing with members of the public on the telephone and in person, and therefore have excellent communication skills with a pleasant telephone manner.
  • Work with the minimum of supervision in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Are patient focused and have compassion to communicate sensitively and effectively in challenging situations.
  • Have excellent organisation and IT skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred, but not essential.
  • Are able to work flexible hours, according to the needs of the practice during periods of annual leave.
  • Have vision, willingness and drive, to adapt to changes in the NHS.
  • Understand the need for confidentiality.
  • Are professional in your approach.
  • Will be enthusiastic, happy to work independently and thrive on working to high standards.
  • Have previous experience of working in a GP practice. Although experience is not essential, it is preferred.
