Job Summary
Chakra Spa is looking for an experienced, self-employed Massage Therapist to join our wellness team on Fridays, and additional hours available subject to client demand . You must be confident and qualified in a range of massage therapies, such as Swedish, Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue and Hot Stone massage. Experience in Traditional Thai Massage and/or head massage would be an advantage but not essential.

The ideal candidate will have a calm, client-focused approach, good communication and be professional.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional massage treatments tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, Aromatherapy or other specialised techniques.
  • Conduct consultations with clients to understand their health concerns and preferences before each session.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Keep records updated via our in-house systems (training will be provided)
  • Ensure client comfort and safety throughout each session, adjusting techniques as necessary.
  • Stay informed about the latest massage therapy practices and industry developments through continuous professional development.
  • Covering Reception duties, including answering the phone, booking appointments and taking payment

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Massage Therapist with relevant certification or licence.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and understand their needs.
  • Ability to create a calming environment that enhances client relaxation.
  • Organised with attention to detail in record keeping and workspace management.
  • Empathy and professionalism are essential for building trust and ensuring client satisfaction. This role offers an enriching career path for those passionate about holistic health, with opportunities for ongoing training and development within our organisation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 18.0 per week
