Job Summary
Chakra Spa is looking for an experienced, self-employed Massage Therapist to join our wellness team on Fridays, and additional hours available subject to client demand . You must be confident and qualified in a range of massage therapies, such as Swedish, Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue and Hot Stone massage. Experience in Traditional Thai Massage and/or head massage would be an advantage but not essential.
The ideal candidate will have a calm, client-focused approach, good communication and be professional.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage treatments tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, Aromatherapy or other specialised techniques.
- Conduct consultations with clients to understand their health concerns and preferences before each session.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Keep records updated via our in-house systems (training will be provided)
- Ensure client comfort and safety throughout each session, adjusting techniques as necessary.
- Stay informed about the latest massage therapy practices and industry developments through continuous professional development.
- Covering Reception duties, including answering the phone, booking appointments and taking payment
Skills
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist with relevant certification or licence.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to create a calming environment that enhances client relaxation.
- Organised with attention to detail in record keeping and workspace management.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 18.0 per week
