Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Traffic Marshall to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around a busy construction site and designated areas. The location for this vacancy is Derby and the duration will be ongoing for the successful candidate paying £15.07ph PAYE. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen sense of responsibility, ensuring that all traffic regulations are adhered to while maintaining a smooth flow of operations on site in Derby. The successful candidate must have a safety critical medical certification.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the flow of traffic in designated areas, ensuring safety for both vehicles and pedestrians around a busy construction site.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and pedestrians to provide clear instructions and guidance.
  • Manage traffic conditions and report any issues or incidents to the relevant authorities.
  • Assist in the maintenance of traffic control equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate traffic management strategies during events or peak times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on duty.
