Full job description
We are excited to be advertising a 7/8a Development post for a newly qualified Clinical Psychologist to join Flintshire CAMHS. This is a full-time and permanent post. A relocation package is available.
Flintshire CAMHS offers a 0-18 service to children, young people and families. We provide early intervention and prevention services, an Early Years 0-7 service and a broad range of NICE recommended and other evidence based interventions. We are a dynamic and committed multidisciplinary team. Significant joint working takes place with multi-agency partners with whom we have good relationships.
We have excellent links with the Bangor Clinical Psychology Programme and provide regular placements and training.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can evidence their passion for this area of work and their commitment to clinical quality, evidence-based practice and maintaining high professional standards for themselves and others.
The successful candidate will have an individual development plan to support their progress towards achieving the required competencies to fulfill the requirements for a substantive 8a post. Regular clinical supervision will be provided by a Clinical Psychologist. They will undertake assessments and deliver appropriate therapeutic and formulation based interventions. They will promote psychological thinking and formulation within our multidisciplinary team. In line with the development of competencies, the successful candidate will offer consultation to multi-agency professionals and families, supervision of others and leadership via training and service development.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this position; equal welcome is extended to Welsh and/or English speakers to apply.
If you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, has all the right ingredients. The largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of around 700,000, across North Wales . Join our team and get the support you need, in line with our Organisational Values and ‘Proud to Lead’ competence framework.
Enjoy being part of working with engaged leadership at all levels, and be assured we are committed to promoting equality and diversity, and are proud to welcome applicants under the “Disability Confident Employer” scheme.
Please check your email account regularly. Successful applicants will receive all recruitment related correspondence via the email account registered on the application form.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
