Skylark Garden Centre is on the lookout for a highly driven and motivated Trainee Garden Centre Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven motivated individual. You will support the current Garden Centre manager to run a busy family-owned independent garden centre. Being a trainee manager at Skylark will be a hands on and varied, you will need to be able to motivate a team and have a good eye for detail.

You will initially work with the current Garden Centre Manager who is coming up for retirement at the end 2026 and then for the right candidate take his role on.

Key responsibilities are

· To manage the efficient running of the departments on a day to day basis

· To proactively serve and help customers in need of assistance, resolving queries and complaints

· To merchandise and display stock according to the agreed principles

· To create impulse, seasonal, promotional, themed and linked displays

Required skills & experience

· Instinctive in knowing what our customers want, you go all out to deliver

· Extremely driven, leading you to hit targets and inspire those around you

· Inquisitive, ever-questioning and ever-improving
