Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition. This role offers an opportunity to work with a reputable organisation committed to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Candidates should possess a valid commercial driving licence and have 2 years experience driving a knowledge and familiarity with hgvs are advantageous, Will be expected to keep vehicle clean and tidy and be able to work to full tachograph rules and complete all necessary paperwork

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate lorries and commercial vehicles over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working order
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, route changes, or issues encountered during transit
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during transportation

Qualifications

  • Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record suitable for commercial vehicle operation
  • Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably with experience operating lorries or similar heavy vehicles
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle maintenance and minor repairs
  • Experience preferred but full training can be given
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £750.00 per week
