Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care.

Duration per day

10 to 12 hrs

Responsibilities

  • Safely operateacross designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
  • Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption in compliance with company policies
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards during operations
  • Assist with loading or unloading when necessary, demonstrating flexibility in duties

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed lorries or similar vehicles
  • Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
  • Delivery driver experience preferred, with a focus on timely and safe deliveries
  • Ability to plan routes efficiently and adapt to changing schedules or conditions
  • Good organisational skills for maintaining accurate logs and documentation
  • Easy hydrarolling loading/unloading tasks
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with dispatchers, clients, and team members
