Do you have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you passionate about making education accessible and meaningful for vulnerable young people?
Esland Grantham School is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to deliver high-quality education to small groups and individuals, both within our school and through outreach services in surrounding children’s homes.
You’ll be supporting children aged 8 to 18 with SEMH and complex needs, helping them achieve their potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Requirements for a SEN Tutor


  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), PTLLS, or equivalent
  • Qualified Teacher Status (or close to achieving it)
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH and complex needs
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Knowledge of vocational pathways and subjects
  • Experience in 1:1 and small group tutoring
  • Strong planning, evaluation, and differentiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
