About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Executive who will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to support the delivery of cost-efficient,high-quality goods and services across Pieminister manufacturing and restaurant operations. This role is key in coordinating activities across multiple departments and requires a hands-on approach,collaborating with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities and skills:

Variety of responsibilities including:

  • Developing new and maintaining existing supplier relationships across all channels
  • Negotiating best possible deals with suppliers
  • Sourcing of new suppliers to improve cost,quality & service
  • Working with Technical & Sustainability teams to get new suppliers/products approved
  • Working with restaurant teams to manage supplier relationships and improve service issues/menu changes etc
  • Working with Raw Materials Planner,Supply Chain & Production teams to ensure ingredients & packaging are delivered on time


About you

We’re open to this being a full-time position for someone looking to develop their career in procurement,or a part-time position for someone who has established experience looking for flexible working options to balance life and work. You will be a motivated self-starter who enjoys the fast pace of a food manufacturing environment.

Skills and Attributes

  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
  • Highly analytical
  • An excellent communicator with strong written and computer skills (particularly Excel)
  • Ability to plan,prioritise and focus on key issues
  • Organised with excellent time management

Desirable

Experience of purchasing within the food industry or relevant procurement degree
