Dietetic Administration Assistant
Full job description
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.
Come and join our vibrant and growing department in Wrexham and Flintshire. You will be working with an admin team for our team of dietitians and dietetic assistants. The department consists of over fifty dietitians and dietetic assistants as well as our admin team of five. There are good working relationships between our teams and plenty of opportunities for professional development. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or want to know more.
Working as part of a friendly team, your role will involve inputting patient referrals on to the patient administration system and contacting patients by letter and telephone to arrange appointments.
Excellent IT skills, ideally in using a hospital administration system (or similar), are essential and you’ll need to be an excellent, tactful communicator.
We are looking for someone to be part of the busy team, who works confidently and efficiently, demonstrating a helpful, courteous, professional and sensitive manner at all times.
By the nature of the duties, the post-holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical staff and other service users, using the telephone and in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times.
If you relish a challenge, have a passion to help others or simply fancy a fresh start, then Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales, has all the right ingredients. The largest health organisation in Wales, providing a full range of primary, community, mental health, acute and elective hospital services for a population of around 700,000, across North Wales . Join our team and get the support you need, in line with our Organisational Values and ‘Proud to Lead’ competence framework.
Enjoy being part of working with engaged leadership at all levels, and be assured we are committed to promoting equality and diversity, and are proud to welcome applicants under the “Disability Confident Employer” scheme.
Please check your email account regularly. Successful applicants will receive all recruitment related correspondence via the email account registered on the application form.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
