Freelance Face to Face Interpreters - NW1

Bengali Sylheti

The Language Shop are a leading provider of both Translation and Interpreting services across the UK to end user businesses including: NHS Trusts, Government and Charities.

For over 30 years we have connected qualified Interpreters with businesses over the telephone and in face to face settings. We pride ourselves not only on commitment to equality of access to our services but also customer care and integrity. Our Freelance Interpreters have massively contributed to this success and are the ‘linchpin’ of being able to provide these services day in day out.

We offer opportunity to work Freelance alongside a leading Translation and Interpreting service that can offer flexibility and fulfilling work at the same time. You will receive a competitive pay rate for your time along with a travel contribution payment.

These opportunities are available for Face to Face Interpreting throughout NW1.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of interpreting within your community ideally sought
  • Hold Level 3 Community Interpreting certificate, DPSI Qualification or hold a Language based degree.
  • Exceptional people skills
  • Excellent communication and language skills
  • Happy to travel for Face to Face Interpreting requirements for various clients throughout NW1.

We invite applicants who meet the above requirements to apply.

You must be also able to provide evidence that you are eligible to work in the UK, provide a valid Enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one.

Job Type: Freelance

Experience:

  • Community Interpreting: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Level 3 Community Interpreting or Language based Degree ? (preferred)

Work Location: In person
