We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help evolve our world-class eSignature platform. It’s a great time to join, as we are scaling up over the next 12 months.

Who we are

We’re Signable, a Bristol-based SaaS company that’s been helping businesses send, sign, and manage documents digitally since 2007. Today, thousands of teams across the UK and beyond trust our eSignature platform, including Aardman, Co-op, Octopus Energy, Krispy Kreme, and Regatta.

We’re a values-driven, people-first team, and we’re proud to be recognised as a Great Place to Work® for Tech, Women, and Wellbeing in 2025. With a 4.8/5 rating on Glassdoor, genuine flexibility, and a culture built on trust and belonging, we aim to be a place where people can grow and feel supported to do their best work.

What we do

We’re not just a tech company. We’re a collaborative team who listen, learn, and make things better together. Whether we’re improving product features, experimenting with new capabilities, or evolving how we work, we stay focused on creating meaningful experiences for our customers and our team.

We’re building for a future where digital signing is always human, helpful and within reach. With ambitious plans for growth, we’re looking for people who want to create, collaborate, and make a real impact for our customers and our team.

If this sounds like you, now is a great time to get involved.

What you will be doing:

As a Full Stack Engineer at Signable, you’ll be joining one of our squads with 7-8 other engineers. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust web applications and services using PHP, Laravel, Vue, Tailwind, Docker, and AWS. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, QA and wider stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and exceptional performance across our services. Your role will involve translating business requirements into technical specifications, implementing efficient and scalable solutions, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and security.

Responsibilities
:

  • Working within a squad to design, build and deliver user-facing features across our product, with a focus on improving customer experience and driving innovation.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, efficient code across our stack using PHP (Laravel), React, Vue and Tailwind.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, product managers and engineers to prototype and validate new ideas - including those leveraging AI and automation to enhance user experience.
  • Build and consume APIs to support a scalable and secure application architecture.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices for code quality, testing and CI/CD.
  • Take ownership of features from concept through to delivery, monitoring and iteration.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering team.
  • Contribute to discussions on how we can best use new technologies, including AI, to improve our platform and developer experience.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with PHP and the Laravel framework.
  • Proficiency with modern front-end technologies such as Vue.js, React.js or similar frameworks (e.g Angular, Next.js etc).
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Solid grasp of MySQL or similar relational databases, with experience writing efficient SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with containerised development using Docker.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
  • Good understanding of testing practices and writing automated tests using PHPUnit, Pest or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

Nice to have:

  • Experience or strong interest in working with AI/LLMs (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face) or similar tooling.
  • Experience building or integrating AI-driven product features such as content generation, smart search, or workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with AWS (e.g. ECS, SQS, RDS) or other cloud environments.
  • Interest in product experimentation and data-driven iteration.

Please note: The qualifications and experiences above act as a loose guide to what we're looking for. We'd still love to hear from you if you have more or less experience, so long as the core skills can be demonstrated. The role requires backend knowledge working with APIs, so strong PHP/Laravel experience is a necessary skill set to demonstrate.
