As a Vehicle Dismantler, you will carefully dismantle vehicles, identify reusable components and prepare parts for safe handling. You will use mechanical knowledge and suitable tools to work methodically, keeping components organised and supporting an efficient dismantling process.

Duties

• Inspect vehicles and identify components for removal, reuse or appropriate handling.
• Use hand tools and power tools to dismantle parts carefully, following safe working practices.
• Lift and move heavy components using appropriate handling techniques, and keep your work area tidy.
• Sort and organise removed parts so colleagues can locate and handle them efficiently.

Skills

Required: Practical mechanical knowledge, confidence using hand tools and power tools, and the ability to carry out heavy lifting safely are important for completing dismantling tasks carefully. You should work methodically, keep parts organised and follow safe handling practices. Preferred: Experience dismantling vehicles or working with mechanical components would be useful, as would familiarity with identifying reusable parts and maintaining an orderly work area.
