Full job description

We are looking for a creative and reliable Video Editor to join our UK team. You will produce high-quality videos across multiple platforms, from ideation to final delivery, and ensure content resonates with audiences.

The successful candidate will have strong filming and editing skills, a good eye for aesthetics, and a solid understanding of trending topics and social media trends in both China and the UK. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

l Research domestic and international trending topics, including current affairs in China and the UK, and rapidly develop engaging content ideas.

l Plan, shoot, and edit video content with a strong grasp of composition, lighting, camera techniques, and visual storytelling.

l Produce content for platforms including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, WeChat Channels, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, Douyin.

l Ensure all content complies with platform rules, sensitive content guidelines, and audience expectations.

l Maintain consistent style, quality, and visual standards across all projects.

l Collaborate closely with the creative team, sharing feedback and contributing to team objectives.

l Support live-streams, event coverage, and promotional shoots as required.

l Keep abreast of social media trends, emerging content formats, and innovative editing techniques.

Requirements:

l Fluent in English and Mandarin.

l Solid understanding of the full video production process, including filming, editing, colour grading, sound design, subtitles, and compositing.

l Strong aesthetic sense with the ability to tell stories visually.

l Ability to quickly identify trending topics and transform them into effective content, with a sound awareness of current affairs and social media trends in both China and the UK.

l Familiarity with the rules, features, and audience behaviours of major domestic and international social media platforms.

l Creative, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.

l Excellent teamwork and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions.

l Proficient in CapCut (Jianying), Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

l Reliable, responsible, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
