Talent Acquisition and Retention Partner

The Talent, Acquisition & Retention Partner is responsible for building a strong, future-ready talent pipeline for our hotels. This role owns end-to-end early-stage recruitment activity, proactively identifies and engages top hospitality talent, and ensures every new joiner experiences a first-class, engaging onboarding journey.
This is a highly visible, relationship-driven role, combining proactive sourcing, first-stage screening and interviewing, market mapping, and employer brand advocacy. You will act as a true partner to hotel leaders, ensuring we always have access to exceptional people—now and for the future.
Key responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Pipeline Building
- Proactively identify, attract and engage high-calibre hospitality talent across operational, entry level, management, leadership and specialist roles.
- Build and maintain a warm pipeline of industry talent aligned to current and future hiring needs.
- Actively headhunt and network within the hospitality sector, anticipating vacancies before they arise.
- Partner closely with hotel leaders to understand role requirements, team dynamics and future workforce needs.
Screening & First-Stage Interviewing
- Own all first-stage screening activity, ensuring consistent, high-quality assessment aligned to our values and service standards.
- Conduct first-stage interviews (virtual), providing clear recommendations and insightful feedback to hiring managers.
- Promote inclusive hiring practices, always considering our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy.
- Ensure a smooth, professional and engaging candidate experience at every touchpoint.
LinkedIn & Employer Brand Presence
- Maintain an active, credible presence on LinkedIn, positioning the business as an employer of choice within hospitality.
- Source talent directly via LinkedIn and other platforms, building meaningful, long-term relationships with candidates.
- Collaborate with the People team to share engaging content that showcases culture, careers and development opportunities.
Onboarding Excellence
- Ensure all new starters receive a first-class onboarding experience that reflects our brand, values and service ethos.
- Partner with hotel teams to continuously improve onboarding processes, materials and early engagement.
- Track onboarding effectiveness and early retention, using insight to drive continuous improvement.
- Work with both the people and development partner to ensure that all new colleagues are assigned their induction and they are fully prepared for their first day, and the payroll team to ensure that all new starters are successfully added to Dayforce.
- Always abide by the company start dates.
Retention & Early Engagement
- Support retention initiatives by identifying trends, risks and opportunities through recruitment and onboarding insight.
- Stay connected with new starters during their early months to ensure successful integration and engagement.
Process, Data & Compliance
- Maintain accurate recruitment data, records and pipelines in line with GDPR and internal standards.
- Provide regular insight and reporting on talent pipelines, market trends and recruitment activity.
- Continuously review and improve recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
Events and Representation
- Take and active role in hospitality events raising our profile and making us an employer of choice.
- Take an active role in apprenticeship recruitment and support third parties with onboarding and settlement.
- Work closely with all properties and ensure they represent the brand at local school, colleagues and universities.
