A-Level Psychology Lecturer Opportunity

Part-time | Temporary | Pontefract area | January start

Here’s a quick snapshot of this A-Level Psychology Lecturer role:

You’ll be delivering engaging A-Level Psychology lessons, helping learners explore human behaviour and mental processes while supporting them to achieve their academic potential. Perfect if you enjoy sparking curiosity, breaking down complex ideas, and working with motivated students.

Start date: 5th January
Contract until: April half-term (with possibility of extension)
Hours: 2 days per week, Monday & Tuesday, 08:30–16:00
Location: Pontefract area

What you’ll be doing:

  • Teaching A-Level Psychology to motivated learners – helping them understand theory, research, and real-life application
  • Planning and delivering lessons that are interactive, engaging, and structured
  • Assessing learners’ progress and providing constructive, encouraging feedback
  • Supporting students’ wider development with tutorials and guidance
  • Stepping in as a supportive presence during a short-term cover period, keeping learning on track


What you'll be doing:

  • Experience teaching Psychology at A-Level (or equivalent)
  • A teaching qualification or working towards one
  • FE experience is preferred, but strong subject specialists are welcome
  • Friendly, approachable, and student-focused – able to engage learners effectively
  • Flexibility and reliability – essential for short-term cover work
