  • preparing samples for the laboratory, liaising with couriers, delivering and documenting samples to produce traceability
  • reporting unusual samples on the HPC reporting tool and working closely with the Scientific Analysts to identify any anomalous laboratory results
  • undertaking health and safety point of work risk assessments for all sampling activities and undertaking a daily vehicle check
  • ensuring we comply with industry regulations and provide our clients with a high-quality service
  • monitoring the Science team inbox

  • maintaining the team's spreadsheets and any administration work related to environmental sampling and liaising with the OSM Sampling team
  • working with the Drilling and Dewatering team to capture any well changes and update the sampling diary as required to ensure this is kept up to date
  • supporting the Science team with undertaking data downloads and preparing monthly reports and weekly water management meeting minutes for the Client.

What you'll need

To be successful, you'll need:

  • to be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with a genuine interest in the environment
  • to enjoy working in a practical operational role and can work independently as well as part of a team
  • to be health and safety focused and happy to work outdoors in all weather
