Overview
The Warehouse Operative is a full-time, on-site role based in Preston. This position involves performing a variety of warehouse tasks, such as receiving and unloading goods, packing orders for shipment, and managing stock movements. The role also includes maintaining a clean and organized workspace, operating material handling equipment, and adhering to health and safety protocols during daily operations. The ideal candidate will work efficiently within a team to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operational tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
  • Experience in Unloading, Packing, and Stock Management but not essential
  • Knowledge and adherence to Health & Safety guidelines in a warehouse environment is ideal but training shall be provided
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to varied tasks and a proactive attitude
  • Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Office Suite) is advantageous
  • A proactive attitude with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workloads
