Full job description

The Role: supports the warehouse and procurement teams by assisting with day to day purchasing duties and managing the receipt incoming deliveries. This position plays a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Duties:

· Assist with daily purchase ordering, creating purchase orders in accordance with company policies

· Track and follow up on outstanding orders and delivery schedules.

· Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.

· Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality.

· Experience with email management and digital file organization.

· Comfortable using virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

· Assist with preparation of stock take tasks when requested. Ensure accuracy is maintained when reporting figures

· Attending staff meetings and relevant training courses

Goods Received Operations:

· Record and report discrepancies or damaged items to suppliers.

· Ensure proper documentation of received goods.

· Coordinate with warehouse teams for storage and stock updates.

· Maintain cleanliness and organisation

· Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) as needed.

· Follow Health & Safety policy and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.

Please note we expect this list of duties to increase and develop as the post holder gains knowledge and experience of the business. On occasion the post holder may be required to work overtime or weekends to support operations.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in procurement or warehouse operations preferred.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Competence in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Working Conditions:

· Warehouse environment with physical activity including lifting and moving goods.

· May require occasional overtime or weekend work during peak periods.

Hours: 40 - Mon – Fri – 9.00 – 18.00

Lunch: 1 hour

Holidays: 24 (plus 8 days statutory) Includes 3 days to cover Company Christmas Shutdown
