Full job description

We are looking for an experienced 6 ton counter balance forklift operator to work out of our Erith depot. Must be flexible with regards to starting & finishing times, have a good attitude towards work, other staff members & customers. Someone with a high level of attention to detail with the ability to problem solve as & when required & someone that is willing to learn new skills & technology. You must be able to carry out your daily tasks efficiently whilst maintaining safe working practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Health & Safety within the work place.
  • Start of use checks on all equipment.
  • Basic maintenance of a CB FLT (Oil / Gas / Water).
  • Locating customers goods.
  • Safe Loading & Unloading of all vehicle types.
  • Logging goods in and out via handheld device (tablet / IPad / Phone)
  • Maintaining stocklists using excel.
  • Checking packing lists in and out.
  • Checking customer goods for damage prior to unloading.
  • Sending & Receiving emails on Outlook.
  • Deputise when depot manager is not present.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£15.45 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
