Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced <PERSON> to join our team as a Delivery Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries whilst maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and warehouse experience in a dynamic environment. A valid <PERSON> driver licence is essential, along with a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies
  • Deliver goods to clients across designated routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and functionality
  • Load and unload cargo safely, using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
  • Follow all health and safety protocols during operations, including adherence to COVID-19 guidelines where applicable

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles, preferably with flatbed or similar vehicles
  • Strong driving skills with a valid <PERSON> driver licence
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Warehouse experience is advantageous for loading/unloading procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively
  • Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely
  • Organised approach to managing schedules and routes efficiently

Pay: £12.21-£16.15 per hour
