ROLE SUMMARY:
The Laptop and Mobile team is responsible for delivering many end user products including laptop and virtual desktops, application packaging and fleet management. We work hard with teams across LSEG to ensure that end user environment allows colleagues to be productive and provides a great experience every day.
You will play a lead role in delivering AT products and promoting their availability and usage, as well as defining future strategies alongside engineering colleagues, end users and technology vendors.
The role is based within a small team of engineers delivering end user computing products used by colleagues throughout LSEG. The role includes two key areas: working with relevant teams across the company to develop a broad strategy for AT products, and also taking ownership of the products themselves, both software and hardware, and ensuring the correct governance is applied throughout their lifecycle.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
You will be introducing AT products into LSEG in a methodical way, following all steps appropriate to the application or hardware being introduced. You will also be working with end users to ensure the available technology is fit for purpose, investigating alternatives as required and introducing new products as needed. Vendor engagement is a crucial part of the role and you will work with various hardware and software companies to understand their roadmaps for products, suggest improvements based on user feedback and look after support cases.
Many colleagues may need to know what AT products are available, so you will ensure that hardware, applications and features are discoverable and accessible. Another key aspect fo the role is to provide operational teams and customers with support should issue that arise relating to our products.
Most importantly, you will partner with other groups in the company who are promoting wider EDI strategies and activities to ensure there is an appropriate set of AT products, consistently promoted and available in a structured manner.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
-
A consistent track record working in technical teams is crucial, as is an awareness of product lifecycles and a passion for assistive technology as a subject.
-
A proven can-do approach along with the ability to use self-initiative to progress activities while also working across different teams and with external companies where needed.
-
Knowledge and experience of modern Windows and Mac environments, as well as application deployment concepts so you can understand how we work here.
-
An ability to lead initiatives and work with technology and non-technology teams throughout the company as well as with external vendors is critical.
WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast paced team, delivering modern, performant products to a diverse user base, and making a real difference in how people perform their jobs!
Career Stage:
Senior Associate
