About The Role

Purpose

As the Product Manager for Private Wealth your core focus will be on the design and development of the Advice process as you look to drive value for advisers, clients, and the 7IM Group. You will take a data-led approach to decision making, applying an iterative test & learn approach to product development, and will ensure high quality stakeholder engagement including effective product backlog management and communication. You will bring your experience and deep knowledge of the Advice process to a talented team to further the success of the growing organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for creating and maintaining an appropriately prioritised Product Backlog which will include both system migration activities and continuous improvement changes to be delivered by our external delivery partner.
  • Ensure the prioritisation of the highest value items in line with the programme objectives and 7IM strategy.
  • Leverage iterative delivery cycles to reduce product development risk through a targeted test and learn approach.
  • Ensure the Product Backlog / Roadmap is transparent and communicated clearly to multiple stakeholders at all levels across the UK.
  • Be accountable for developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal and OKRs (objectives and key results).
  • Communicate effectively with your delivery team so that product requirements and priorities are well understood through fostering a shared vision and purpose.
  • Work closely with our external delivery partner to ensure successful business readiness and Go Live activities are completed to a high quality in a timely manner.
  • Take ownership of your Product’s budgeting and financial forecasting including benefit realisation.
  • Establish and maintain product discovery tools (e.g. industry ranking, risk heatmap) to inform Backlog features and assess priorities.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the industry and the regulatory landscape which impact your Product so that you can seek to continually improve it and manage changes through it.
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to optimise your collective value and impact whilst delivering a seamless digital end-to-end experience.
  • Actively managing key supplier relationships in accordance with 7IM guidelines.
  • Adherence to all applicable compliance standards and best practices at all times.
  • Acting consistently in accordance with the 7IM VPVPs.

About You

Qualifications

  • Product Management certification is an advantage.
  • Experience as a Product Manager with proven track record of successful value delivery
  • Experience working with Squads using a variety of methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Skills
  • Ability to discover the true problem to solve and define the MVP solution for delivery and iteration.
  • Ability to create, own, and practically deliver a vision for your Product area that aligns to the overarching business strategic objectives.
  • Strong business value orientation, to enable shared clarity as to the intended business goals of a technological solution.
  • Strong client and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and negotiation skills, confident operating at all levels.
  • Ability to successfully prioritise a Product backlog aimed at delivering the highest value change.
  • Comfortable operating at pace and able to balance multiple priorities where elements of change and uncertainty are the norm and to be expected.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, able to communicate requirements in a variety of formats as appropriate.
Other relevant information
  • Passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering.
  • Must embrace a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement and learning.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Product Life Cycles and the role of product management and governance within that cycle
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the asset management industry, specifically the advice process.
  • This role will report to the Chief Value Officer.
