Salary - Circa £31k plus overtime

Monday-Friday days 7.30am-4pm


Your new company:

Based in Peterborough, you will be joining an industry-leading company that specialises in the development and manufacture of equipment within the water treatment industry!

Due to continuous growth and expansion, the company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their close-knitted industrial team in Peterborough! The Mechanical fitter will be part of a team responsible for the assembly, maintenance and repair of a wide range of fabricated and complex treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assemble, install and repair mechanical components and large units
  • Maintenance and fabrication of parts and equipment.
  • Quality inspection of parts and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process
  • Participate in LEAN/KAIZEN continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work to Health & Safety processes and procedures


Skills & Experience required
:

  • Proven experience in a similar mechanical fitting/assembly role
  • Ability to read and work to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Experience with stainless steel, aluminium, pipework and similar
  • Welding experience would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work with the wider team and alone.
