Full job description

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator welder with experience of structural welding.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and standards.
  • Safe operation and use of various power tools.
  • Ability to work according to instructions from the Works Manager.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineers’ drawings.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions from a Weld Procedure Specification (WPS)
  • Ensure proper cleanliness and fit-up of steels before welding.
  • Experience in Structural welding of steel grades and below.
  • Ability to weld single and multi-run fillet welds in flat/horizontal positions.
  • Ability to complete butt welds in flat/horizontal positions.
  • Conduct 100% visual inspection of all welds.
  • Identify and repair sub-standard welds as necessary
  • Lifting, turning, and moving heavy structural steel loads with cranes
  • Experience required: MIG welding: 2 years minimum

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday 7 a.m - 15:30 p.m

Fri 7 a.m - 12 noon

Regular Overtime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £15.50 per hour
