Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and a variety of related skills, enabling them to install, repair, and maintain windows and doors in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

  • Install and replace windows, ensuring proper fitting and sealing to prevent leaks and drafts.
  • Conduct assessments of existing window structures to determine necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation processes.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide installation procedures.
  • Perform masonry work as needed for window installations, including brickwork or stonework around frames.
  • Carry out plastering tasks where required to finish around window installations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in window and door fitting or a related construction field is essential.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment commonly used in the industry.
  • Skills in carpentry, fabrication, construction painting, and masonry are highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
