TROO LTD

Location

Sunderland

Full job description

About us
We’re a growing UK energy consultancy that helps businesses manage their energy needs end-to-end, from reducing energy costs to delivering energy projects that support long-term sustainability and efficiency goals.

We work closely with businesses across a range of sectors to identify the right energy solutions, manage projects from start to finish, and provide dedicated, ongoing support to simplify the complexities of energy management.

The role
We’re looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to take the lead on planning and producing the content that powers our marketing.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, you’ll turn our marketing strategy into a clear content plan and keep the content engine moving, from early stage awareness pieces through to sales collateral and proposals. You’ll handle everything from research and interviews to writing, editing, and repurposing content, making sure our message is consistent and useful wherever people discover Troo.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our focused marketing campaigns, creating content that fits campaign themes and helps move prospects from interest through to conversation. You’ll also support key initiatives by creating content for events and managing the content side of our webinars – from promotional assets to on-the-day materials and follow up resources.

This role is ideal for a strong B2B writer who enjoys owning an editorial calendar, digging into complex topics, and producing content that gets used by sales and stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to translate the marketing strategy into a clear content plan and editorial calendar
  • Plan and manage the day-to-day content calendar, ensuring deadlines are realistic and deliverables are on track
  • Support focused, campaign-based activity by creating content aligned to key themes, audiences and stages of the journey
  • Research topics, speak to subject matter experts across the business, and turn their insight into clear, actionable content
  • Write and edit a wide range of content, including:

- Blogs and thought leadership pieces
- Downloadable guides and resources
- Landing pages and web copy
- Letters and mailers
- Sales collateral and one pagers
- Case studies and success stories
- Proposal content and supporting documents

  • Brief and collaborate with designers on visuals, layouts and formats for key assets
  • Create content to support events we attend (e.g. flyers, handouts, slide content, landing pages and printed materials)
  • Manage the content side of webinars, including titles, descriptions, landing page copy, promotional content, slide content and post webinar resources (e.g. summaries and on demand page copy)
  • Repurpose longer form content into shorter assets for social posts and sales enablement materials
  • Ensure all content reflects our tone of voice and messaging, and is tailored to different audience segments and sectors
  • Work closely with our Campaign & Email Specialist so content aligns with campaign activity and customer journeys
  • Optimise content for search and conversion, working alongside our wider marketing activity and any external partners
  • Use performance data (e.g. from HubSpot and website analytics) to understand what’s working and suggest improvements to future content
  • Support the wider marketing team with copywriting and content input for campaigns as needed

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a B2B content, copywriting or content marketing role
  • A strong portfolio of written work (e.g. blogs, guides, landing pages, sales collateral, case studies)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear, engaging way
  • Experience planning and managing content calendars or editorial schedules
  • Comfortable researching topics, interviewing internal experts and turning conversations into usable content
  • Understanding of how content supports the full marketing and sales funnel (from awareness to proposal)
  • Basic knowledge of SEO best practice for on page content
  • Organised and detail focused, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Collaborative working style. Confident partnering with marketing, sales and subject matter experts across the business

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
