Transport Administrator

Ready for a change? Looking for a role that you can develop into? Ready to join a site as its growing? How would you like to work for a company that can accelerate your career? We are looking for someone like you. We’re currently recruiting for Transport Administrator to be based at our customer site in Ilkeston, Derbyshire for our transport operations . You will be working across a Monday – Friday - 7:30am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:00pm.

Previous transport experience is desirable but is not essential. Previous administrative experience would be advantageous, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £26,463. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Processing carrier and transport orders
  • General data entry and system updates
  • Scanning documentation and filing accurately
  • Searching for and managing PODs (Proof of Delivery)
  • Handling email and telephone queries from customers and carriers
  • Supporting the transport team with day-to-day administrative tasks

What you need to succeed at XPO

  • An interest in office-based work and the transport industry
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confidence using basic IT systems
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the role
