Full job description

Zen Educate are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who have transferable experience to excel in our schools across Devon. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with behavioural challenges, helping them develop essential life skills and overcome obstacles. Provide one-on-one support to individuals, use your experience to create engaging and therapeutic activities, and assist individuals in developing social, communication, and problem-solving.

Desirable:

  • A passion for working with individuals with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A commitment to promoting independence and personal growth.
  • Ideally full time and a driver.
  • Previous transferable experience is essential, such as experience or passion in the below:
  • Psychology
  • Mentoring
  • SEN
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Sports Coaching, Activity Instructors, lifeguards etc
  • Team Teach, CPI or other techniques
  • Support or care work
  • Youth or Offender support
  • Family or Social services
  • Teaching/Learning Support Assistance
  • Counseling
