Spinal Injury Support Worker Location: Birmingham Job Type: Zero-hour contract - Set shifts OR Bank options available. Shifts: 12 hour night shifts, 7 days per week. Day shifts also available. Role Overview: We are offering an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to join our new client in Birmingham, working on a 2:1 ratio. To support their independence and lifestyle, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) Catheter Care & Bowel Management Respiratory Management (cough assist/suctioning) Autonomic Dysreflexia Management Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition Administering medication (training provided) Providing emotional support and companionship Supporting with mobility and physical activities Light housekeeping duties What We’re Looking For: Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with Spinal Injury, catheter care and bowel management A caring and compassionate nature Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A valid UK driving licence essential to drive the WAV during shifts essential.
