Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the overall kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking processes, following established recipes and standards
  • Support the team in meal assembly and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Help with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage
  • Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health and safety guidelines
  • Support serving staff during busy periods, including plating and delivering meals as required
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient working environment within the kitchen team

Skills

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
