Cleaner & Runner

Location: Teastones
Type: Part-time / Flexible hours
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Potential opening may arise for someone who moves fast, thinks fast, and keeps everything clean and running smoothly under pressure.

The Role

This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role combining cleaning and running duties during peak periods. You must be quick on your feet, highly aware of what’s happening around you, and able to work efficiently without being micromanaged.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning (Speed & Standards Matter)

  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness across all front and back-of-house areas
  • Fast turnaround cleaning during busy service
  • Wash-up, floors, surfaces, toilets, and waste handling
  • Follow strict hygiene and safety standards at all times

Runner Duties (Fast Response Required)

  • Move stock, supplies, and equipment quickly and efficiently
  • Support the team during peak periods without disrupting service
  • Anticipate needs and respond immediately
  • Keep back-of-house organised and service-ready

Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Previous cleaning experience – required
  • Previous runner or fast-paced hospitality experience – required
  • Quick on your feet with strong situational awareness
  • Able to work at speed while maintaining high standards
  • Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet for long periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to perform under pressure
