Full job description

CENTRAL SHEFFIELD BASED:

Are you a SEND Teacher or do you have experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you hold QTS or an equivalent qualification and want to make a real difference? If so, this opportunity could be perfect for you!

At Lincoln Inclusive Tutoring, we specialise in providing high-quality 1:1 tuition to children and young people who require education other than at school (EOTAS) or need additional learning support. We focus on Functional English and Maths, ensuring that learning is accessible, engaging, and tailored to each individual’s needs.

This is a flexible, 0-hour contract role, offering a highly competitive pay rate of £40 per hour.

What We Offer:

High Pay Rate – £40 per hour, one of the most competitive rates in tutoring.

Be Part of a Supportive, Growing Team – Unlike many tutoring roles, you won’t feel isolated. We foster a team environment, even in a self-led role.

Regular Team Meet-Ups – Tutoring can feel lonely, so we arrange team meet-ups to share experiences, support one another, and stay connected.

Professional Development – Access to a CPD training portal with paid training to enhance your skills before you begin tutoring.

Monthly Blogs & Involvement Opportunities – Receive a monthly blog packed with useful insights and strategies, and if you’d like, you can contribute to the blog to share your expertise.

Flexible Working – Choose your hours and locations that suit your schedule.

Valuable Experience – Work 1:1 with students in a meaningful, personalised way.

What We’re Looking For:

  • QTS or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in SEN teaching or working with children and young people with SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of Functional English & Maths.
  • The ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual needs.
  • A passion for helping students grow in confidence and independence.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering engaging, personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions in Functional English and Maths.
  • Working with students with varying levels of SEND, tailoring lessons to their needs.
  • Following individual learning plans aligned with each student’s educational goals.
  • Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Building strong relationships with students, families, and the wider support team.

How to Apply:

If you’re passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND and want to be part of a forward-thinking, supportive tutoring service, we’d love to hear from you!
