Courier Driver (Zero-Hours, Temporary) – £140/day – Scotland

Employer: Logistics Company (Subcontracting for Evri)

Contract Type: Zero-hours (Temporary, valid until 24 December 2025)

Location: Across Scotland – routes may vary

About the Role

A Logistics Company is seeking reliable Courier Drivers to deliver parcels on Evri routes. Work is based across Scotland, and flexibility with start/finish times and locations is essential.

This is a zero-hours temporary role running until 24 December 2025. A company van and fuel are provided.

(Contract reference: Pages 1–4)

What We Offer

  • £140 per full working day (paid via bank transfer)
  • Company van + fuel provided
  • Monthly payments: 1st of each month
  • Summary of days worked and deductions provided

A £250 holding deposit is deducted from the first payout and returned at the end of the engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver parcels on assigned Evri routes
  • Report on time and fit to work
  • Follow Evri and company procedures
  • Handle parcels accurately and safely
  • Take care of company vehicle, fuel card and equipment
  • Report incidents or defects immediately
  • Drive safely and follow all road laws(Contract references: Services, Attendance & Performance)

Requirements

(From contract: Documentation & Eligibility)

You must provide:

  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Proof of right to work
  • NI Number & bank details
  • Own-vehicle documents only if agreed

Additional preferred requirements:

  • Previous courier/delivery experience is preferred
  • You must be comfortable and competent driving a van

These will help ensure you can meet route demands and safely operate the company vehicle.

Deductions (As per Contract)

  • £100 for missed shifts (driver fault)
  • Driver-caused vehicle damage
  • PCNs/fines due to driver actions
  • Misdelivered parcels caused by confirmed driver error

Notice Requirement

(Page 2 – Notice Requirement)

  • Minimum 1 week written notice required
  • Lack of notice may lead to deductions relating to the vehicle until a replacement is found
