Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Nurse and receptionist to join our dental clinic. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, patient care coordination, administrative duties and dental nursing This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a professional healthcare environment, providing exceptional service to our patients while supporting the smooth operation of the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently using our IT systems
  • Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and provide accurate information about dental services
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
  • Coordinate with dental staff regarding patient needs and treatment plans
  • Handle billing and insurance documentation accurately
  • Support general administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and maintaining the reception area
  • Ensure the waiting area is tidy and welcoming at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or dental reception role is essential; training will be provided in the practice setup
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Experience with IT systems, including scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times
  • Knowledge of basic nursing or healthcare procedures is advantageous but not mandatory
