Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, with the added benefit of working in a dynamic environment. A valid driver’s licence and experience in commercial driving are essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
  • Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays.
  • Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit.
  • Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Follow all road safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
  • Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., HGV or LGV licence).
  • Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, maintaining safety standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Organised with good time management skills to meet tight schedules.
