We're Hiring – Dog Walker & Daycare Driver

Maggie's Mates is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Dog Walker & Daycare Driver to join our friendly team.

Hours:

  • Tuesday to Thursday
  • Approximately 7:00am – 5:30/6:00pm, depending on routes and traffic
  • Flexibility is essential, as schedules can change daily
  • Additional Monday and Friday work may be available to cover holidays and sickness

The Role

As part of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Collecting daycare dogs from their homes each morning and transporting them safely to daycare
  • Collecting dogs for their scheduled walks and returning them home afterwards
  • Dropping daycare dogs back home at the end of the day
  • Safely handling and walking groups of dogs of varying breeds and sizes
  • Providing excellent care and ensuring the welfare of every dog
  • Driving throughout the Deeping and Stamford areas
  • Using our app to update clients with photos, reports, and visit information
  • Creating engaging photos and videos for our social media channels
  • Working closely as part of a supportive team

Essential Requirements

  • Aged 25 or over (insurance requirement)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Live within 5 miles of Carlby
  • Confident handling and walking groups of dogs, including larger breeds
  • Comfortable using a smartphone and apps
  • Happy taking photos and videos of the dogs for client updates and social media
  • Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and organised
  • Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Comfortable with a physically active role

Successful applicants will be required to:

  • Hold or obtain an enhanced DBS check
  • Complete all relevant training before starting
  • Work on a self-employed basis
