Full job description

We are Alliance Fundraising, leading experts in charity fundraising. We work closely with Dogs Trust, the largest dog welfare charity in the UK, to help make a difference to dogs' lives.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for dogs or animals who enjoy speaking and engaging with members of the public in various events and shows to join our team and recruit long-term supporters for Dogs Trust, through their Sponsor a Dog Campaign.

You may be an face to face experienced fundraiser, or you may have never worked in a job like this before. Either way, it’s your personality and character that will make you successful in this role. It’s not necessarily about recruiting the most supporters, but it is about being the best at what you do. It’s about working hard, being a passionate and enthusiastic brand ambassador for Dogs Trust, working compliantly and in accordance with industry rules and making sure that every person you speak to, regardless of the outcome of your conversation, is left with a positive impression of you and Dogs Trust.

It’s hard work, there’s no denying that. But there’s nothing like the huge satisfaction and feeling of well-being you will get from knowing and seeing the positive impact your hard work will have on the lives of dogs.

What we are looking for:

  • You will have a great personality and positive attitude.
  • Be a great communicator and be able to talk and engage with a member of the public and quickly build rapport.
  • You will be determined, resilient and self-motivated.
  • You will be happy to work weekends.
  • You will need to be able to adapt to your surroundings and have self-awareness.
  • You will have compassion and empathy.
  • Although not essential, love and passion for dogs or animals is a major attribute.

What we offer you:

  • We offer a flexible, healthy work/life balance with a 7-hour day on a permanent contract.
  • A basic salary of £26,000 with uncapped bonus paid every 4 weeks (OTE £45K)
  • Training and ongoing support in the field.
  • Pre-booked and paid for venues ranging from supermarkets to shows and events across the region.
  • 28 days annual leave for full-time and pro-rata for part-time.
  • Auto-enrolled in our pension scheme.
