Full job description

E & J W Glendinning Ltd is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our growing team!

If you're keen to start a hands-on career in the electrical trade, this is your chance to earn while you learn, working alongside experienced qualified electricians.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assisting qualified electricians with installations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Learning to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Installing wiring, sockets, lighting, and consumer units (under supervision)
  • Carrying out testing and inspection tasks as your skills develop
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Following health & safety regulations at all times.

What We're Looking For:

  • A genuine interest in electrical work and a willingness to learn
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic
  • Good communication and team-working skills
  • Need to have Level 4 (C) in Maths and English
  • No prior experience needed — just the right attitude!

As an equal opportunities’ employer, we will in return offer 22 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays, increasing to 26 days with length of service, auto enrolment pension scheme and sick pay after 6 months.

Pay: £10.85-£14.03 per hour
