Job Title: Senior Social Worker
Starting Salary: £42,839 progressing to £47,181 per annum (pro rata for part time) + £2k welcome payment, relocation & car lease schemes (terms apply) - pay award pending
Hospital teams receive an additional market enhancement of between £2,101 and £2,255 plus 5% of annual salary (terms apply)
Hours: 37 hours per week

As a Senior Social Worker you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the delivery of social services to communities or specific areas.
About the role
- Coordinating different social workers and support services
- Managing schedules and handling issues or concerns within the community
- Providing emotional support and guidance to individuals and families
- Assessing and reviewing the situations of individuals and families
- Organising and managing packages of support to enable people to lead fuller lives
- Making referrals to other agencies and participating in multidisciplinary teams
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for legal action

Adult Disability Team West
Dacorum Locality Team
Hemel Hempstead
37 hours per week | Permanent
The Adult Disability Service provides support to adults living with a learning or physical disability. We aim to enable people to make positive decisions in their lives, promote their independence and ensure they can get involved in their local community. We're a service motivated by and dedicated to social care intervention and community social work.
About you
Essential:
You will be a SWE registered Social Worker, with at least 2 years post qualified experience with a full driving licence.
You will have successfully completed an ASYE program working to the Social Work England professional standards. You will undertake The Care Act assessments for eligible current and historical cases, using our Connected Lives strategy to review and manage packages of care.
You will also actively undertake a specialist role, e.g. AMHP, Best Interest Assessor or Practice Educator, have a place secured on a course, or commit to undertaking this as soon as appointed.
This is a fast-paced, community-focused environment. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
