Associate Architect/Director (Healthcare & Residential Sectors)
A unique opportunity has opened up for a seasoned design professional with experience in architectural delivery across both healthcare and non-healthcare sectors. This position will appeal to someone keen to influence both design direction and studio culture at a senior level.

You’ll work across a mix of public-serving schemes, including health-focused environments, with increasing expansion into other community, residential and specialist settings. This role combines technical delivery, creative input, and team oversight, and would suit someone familiar with project leadership from early-stage ideas through to final handover.

Key Functions In The Role:

  • Oversee design quality and ensure compliance throughout all phases of delivery
  • Guide and manage internal design teams and contribute to collaborative workflows
  • Develop drawing packages and review consultant outputs
  • Maintain close contact with clients and represent the practice during key meetings
  • Assist with preparing proposals and contribute to strategic decisions in the practice
  • Participate in growing health & safety capabilities relating to design services

Required Background:

  • Substantial track record in built environment design, ideally with healthcare involvement
  • Comfortable taking responsibility for full lifecycle project execution
  • Adept at managing people, time, and competing priorities
  • Proficient in relevant tools (Revit essential; CAD, visual software, and 3D skills desirable)
  • Holds current UK architectural registration; additional affiliations are welcome
  • Familiar with sector regulations and environmental design considerations

Ideal Characteristics:
Someone who’s forward-thinking, dependable, and keen to step into a role that influences not just buildings, but the team behind them. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead calmly under pressure are key.

What’s On Offer:
You’ll join a supportive and growing studio environment where your contribution will matter. Remuneration is tailored to experience, and future progression is part of the plan. The team is collaborative, grounded, and passionate about shaping spaces that genuinely improve lives.
