About Avant Arte
Avant Arte is a curated platform connecting the world's leading artists and public arts institutions with a new generation of enthusiasts, collectors and patrons. We collaborate with the most exciting contemporary artists such as Ai Weiwei, Mickalene Thomas, Maurizio Cattelan and Jenny Holzer to create limited editions of the highest quality, from prints and sculptures to digital works.
Our global community of over 4 million collectors and art enthusiasts reflects the growing energy and curiosity of a new generation transforming how art is discovered and supported. Together with leading museums and institutions, we develop fundraising collaborations that strengthen public access to art and engage the new generation of patrons who will shape its future. Make-Ready, our North London print studio, is the largest fine art silkscreen printmaker in the world.
Our mission is to make discovering and collecting art more accessible, connecting artists, institutions and audiences in meaningful ways that expand art's reach and impact.
About Make-Ready Editions
Make-Ready Editions is a new platform launched alongside Avant Arte, offering beautifully produced, accessibly priced prints from one of the world's foremost print studios. We bring together a broad range of artists — from old masters to some of the most exciting contemporary artists working today — in a single place built for browsing and discovery. Only a few months old, we're building Make-Ready Editions into the definitive destination for people who love great prints and want to find their next one.
About the role
As an Artist Manager at Make-Ready Editions, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and nurturing relationships with exceptional artists, helping them translate their audiences into successful print releases. You will combine commercial acumen, strategic relationship management, and a deep understanding of artists’ practices and ambitions to drive revenue growth while delivering an exceptional partner experience.
Artist Acquisition & Business Development (Winning Artists)
Support the growth of Make-Ready Editions' artist acquisition efforts, managing the process from prospecting and pitching through onboarding and launch.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of artist partnerships, driving consistent growth in the number and quality of releases on the platform.
- Lead outreach to prospective artists, help develop relationships that convert into long-term partnerships.
- Work closely with the Growth and Product teams to test, refine, and optimise acquisition strategies.
Artist Account Management & Launch Execution (Growing and delivering artist releases)
- Own a portfolio of key artist accounts, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the lifecycle of each release.
- Advise artists on sales strategy, audience engagement, pricing, edition structuring, and launch planning to maximise commercial performance.
- Identify opportunities for repeat releases and long-term partnerships that create sustainable value for both artists and Make-Ready Editions.
- Project-manage print releases from onboarding through launch and fulfilment, coordinating across creative, production, marketing, operations, and finance teams.
- Oversee key milestones including image submission, print development, launch readiness, artist approvals, and payments.
- Maintain clear communication with artists and internal stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.
Image Licensing Management (Sourcing licensed content)
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard images with strong merchandising potential and commercial appeal.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure assets, rights, and approvals are secured ahead of launch.
The main skills we’re looking for are:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong pitching and sales skills
- Commercial acumen is a plus
We think you’ll probably have:
- >2 years experience in an account management / business development role
Don't meet every single requirement? Avant Arte is dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic team so we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
Benefits include:
- £40-50k annual salary, dependent on experience
- Generous equity allowance
- Private Healthcare (UK)
- Enhanced pension contributions and parental leave policies
- 25 days of holiday plus four extra company-wide days
- L&D budget of €1000 per year per employee
- Regular company socials
- Art loan scheme for employees
