JOB SUMMARY

Menswear Tailor – Aman's 222 Soho Road, Birmingham, B21 9LR, UK

Aman's is looking for a skilled and reliable men Tailor to join our team at our Asian clothing store on Soho Road. You will be responsible for altering, repairing, and fitting traditional Asian garments, including embroidered outfits, Sherwanis, tuxedos, salwar kameez, suits, Lehengas, and other clothing, ensuring every customer receives an enhanced fit through your tailoring.

Responsibilities

  • Take accurate customer measurements.
  • Alter and repair Asian clothing to a high standard.
  • Sew, hem, and finish garments neatly and professionally.
  • Help customers with fittings and advise on alterations.
  • Ensure all garments are completed on time.
  • Check finished garments for quality before collection.
  • Keep the tailoring area clean and sewing equipment in good working order.

Requirements

  • English and Punjabi/Hindi/Urdu speaker
  • Previous tailoring or clothing alteration experience.
  • Experience working with Asian garments is preferred.
  • Good sewing and garment finishing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Friendly and professional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, organised, and able to meet deadlines.
